30-Day Letter Project: Day 6

You didn’t have to pull over. You didn’t have to stop.

You didn’t have to call 9-1-1-.

You didn’t have to get out of your car.

You didn’t have to make sure we were okay.

But you did.

You pulled to the side of the highway, slowing ever so carefully to a stop on that icy road.

You called for emergency help, then stepped out into that cold December night to check on us.

If not for you, I don’t know how that night would have ended up.
