Being a house wife is not in my foreseeable future

I have a sink full (read: overflowing) of dirty dishes, three piles of clean laundry that need to be put away and at least two or three more loads of laundry that need to be washed.

The entire house could use round with the Swiffer clothes and it probably wouldn’t kill me to “mop” (and by that I mean Swiffer WetJet, I love Swiffer) the kitchen and bathroom.

But what did I do yesterday? Sat around. In my defense, I’m sick, sick, sick.

And what am I going to do today? As soon as my meds kick in and I stop coughing/sniffling constantly, I’m going to get ready and probably go into work (and maybe put the clean clothes away that are on the living room couch, cuz really, it’s the living room) even though my editor won’t be back into town until like 8 tonight. Boo that, by the way.

Does anybody else hate doing chores around the house as much as I do? I HATE it. Hate.

  1. I’m OK with some chores more than others. I dread the day when I have my own home to keep clean. Because, while I’ll totally OK with cleaning clutter, ironing, doing laundry and dishes, I really hate dusting (I’m allergic to it!) and vacuuming. *shrugs*

I hope you’re feeling a lot better now!
