Sometimes it’s hard for me to remember that I actually have a life away from my son. But, newsflash: I DO. I have other interests and do other things (not very often) that don’t involve my son (but I miss him dearly when I’m away). Last week was one of those weeks. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen these photos.

Downtown Seattle somewhere, I’m not even sure where but if you’re from there then you probably know exactly where this is.

On Monday, I left for Seattle for most of the week for a work thing. I stayed on Capitol Hill and spent a lot of time downtown near Pike Place and the waterfront.

I love the vendors at Pike Place.

    We went to Lake Washington.

    Ducks!

I got home from Seattle Thursday afternoon, and had two quiet nights at home before I packed up and headed west again, this time to Tacoma with my sister and cousin.

It wouldn’t be a trip to the west side of the state with my sister without a stop at the outlet mall in North Bend (or two – once on the way there and once on the way back), which is where I picked up this gem…

    Hello, lovely.

… as well as a butt-load of clothes for E from Carter’s. Guys? Outlet malls are THE SHIT.

Then we went to see Nickelback, Bush, Seether and My Darkest Days at the Tacoma Dome as an early birthday gift from my sister. The concert was AMAZING, guys. I’d seen Nickelback once before, at The Gorge, but this show was SO much better. Bush was SO. GOOD. I don’t even have words to describe how great of a show they put on. (Plus, Gavin Rossdale is nice to look at.)

I was maybe a little excited about the concert (and the purse).

We got up a little slowly Sunday morning and headed home.

The weather on the drive home matched my feelings about ending the week.

And now I’m home for the foreseeable future and not entirely sure how I feel about it.

Outlets are the best thing ever and the only way I can afford to stay outfitted in J. Crew.
