Contrary to popular belief, there are good people left in this world

Background: Since my car got fixed on Saturday, I decided I would only ride the bus on Mondays and Wednesdays for the remainder of the semester (which is only a little more than three weeks long!). Since Demers was kind enough to cancel class yesterday and tomorrow and our quiz on Friday, I’m bus-free this week…

Or was, until this snow hit. Again. I’m beginning to rethink this whole global warming theory, by the way… it’s more like Armageddon than anything.

Anyway, so I’m driving home today after class at a snail’s pace (I kinda can’t believe I just used that analogy… metaphor?… ugh) because of the snow/hail. Halfway up Merman, I stop. I’m still hitting the gas, just not going anywhere.

Great. I JUST got my car fixed. I’m really not lookin’ for more damage.

Some guy riding a bicycle (poor guy!) tries to tell me what to do to best turn my car around so I can head back down the hill. If you know me at all, you know by this point I’m freaking out and shouldn’t be driving. So, I let this stranger drive my car. I know, I know, probably not the best idea in the grand scheme of things but what the hell.

It turned out fine. This guy’s a savior… I dunno what I would have done if he hadn’t been unfortunate enough to be on bike at the time.

So anyway, my car’s currently parked at some apartment complex/side road down the hill from my place. I’m pretty sure it’s in a place where I won’t get a ticket, but I’d rather pay one of those than for my car to be repaired again.

Fuck snow.
